“I was immediately grabbed by this image by Trinity as it reminded me of the Harry Callahan image, "Eleanor, Chicago, 1949" (see below), except that here the young woman has her eyes open, and is smiling. It is a beautiful image, which evokes sweet memories and the pleasure of wild swimming.
Photographs are often in conversation with each other, even photographs taken seventy years apart, and as Sally Mann said, they "open doors into the past, but they also allow a look into the future."

David is the director of Ffotogallery and the Diffusion International Photography Festival, in Cardiff, Wales. The Diffusion Festival hosted our exhibition last year, and David has become a big supporter of Children of Vision.
